Crack running along one garage door track caused the rollers to repeatedly slip out.
Our Solution:
When asked about the track’s condition, Mr. Valentine explained that in the past he’d let a neighbor perform amateur maintenance on his garage door. A long-term consequence of this was the track he’d operated on warping and weakening, and it eventually cracked open before its time. We raised the door off the tracks, and then unscrewed the broken track and leveled in its replacement. After reinstalling the garage door, we advised Mr. Valentine on what not to do going forward.
